Advanced Fiberglass Column Materials (FRP Columns)
Now homeowners, commercial builders and residential contractors can enjoy the traditional aesthetics of architecturally proportioned columns with the non-traditional benefits of the most advanced construction materials in the world today---rotocast fiberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP).  Pound for pound these materials are stronger than concrete columns, steel columns, or aluminum columns.

Poly-Classic, FRP columns offer exceptionally low maintenance, the look-and-feel of natural stone, and a range of applications unequalled by conventional wood columns.  They are non-porous, waterproof, and impervious to termite and carpenter ant attack as well as staining and decaying fungi.  High-humidity environments that are so hard on wood have no effect on these FRP columns; they are rot-proof because they absorb virtually no moisture.  In fact, temperature extremes and thermal cycling have very little effect on FRP columns.

According to Greek and Italian historical columns, Columns should be constructed with this slight decline in the upper portion of the column provides the most visually appealing column design. Round Non-Tapered FRP Columns
Round Non-Tapered FRP Columns are a perfect example of the evolution of architectural columns, for columns to be historically accurate to the ancient Greek and Roman Column specifications; they should possess a true architectural taper. As time has passed, several variations in the size and style of columns have been introduced into the architecture of the home, front porches, patios, and gazebos. One of the newer introductions into the column family is the Round Non-Tapered FRP Column. Poly Classic Round Non-tapered Fiberglass Columns offer an elegant look that is available in several sizes sure to fit your project.

Round Non-Tapered Columns are provided in diameters ranging from 8” to 36” and heights between 8’ and 24’. One feature of the Round Non-Tapered Column is the ability to be cut down to any specified size. Because it does not include a taper, the cap and base will fit no matter how much of the columns shaft you trim.

Square Non-Tapered FRP Columns
Pacific Columns carries the widest variety of standard and custom square columns styles, shapes, and sizes. One of the most unique column styles we offer is the Square Non-Tapered Column. These structural columns are the perfect alternative the classic round FRP column design.

Square Non-Tapered FRP Columns drifting further away from the original tapered, fluted Greek Doric Columns, Square Non-Tapered FRP Columns bring a classic appeal to any architectural column project. Available in four different designs. Square Non-Tapered Columns are offered in a smooth column shaft, with a fluted column shaft, or with a raised-panel square column shaft. Any of these column shafts may be used with a traditional pedestal base.

Our Square Non-Tapered Fiberglass Columns are available in several diameters ranging from 6” to 12” Poly Classic Square Non-Tapered Fiberglass Columns are a great accent to any project. Similar to the round Non-Tapered Columns, square shafts may be trimmed down to meet any specified length. This allows for versatility in meeting precise column installation height requirements
Square Fiberglass Non-Tapered FRP Columns are available with the traditional Tuscan Base and Tuscan Capital. Poly Classic Fiberglass Square Columns may be ordered according to one of our several stand dimensions or with any custom combination of height and width.

Square Non-Tapered PVC Columns
Craftsman Square Non-Tapered PVC Columns are a great solution to many common construction headaches. E-Z Lock joints provides these PVC craftsman columns with a large inside diameter, solving the frequent problem of wrapping an unattractive wood or metal support post.

Square Tapered PVC Columns
Craftsman Columns Square Tapered PVC Columns are the latest square column segment in Pacific Columns Extensive line of composite columns. These PVC Columns originally were designed in the early 1900’s Arts and craft architecture. Craftsman columns are manufactured form the highest quality expanded cellular PVC, allowing the Square Tapered Craftsman Columns to be trimmed, drilled and even fastened with traditional carpentry tools.
